There's so many translations of the Tao Te Ching, I've never been able to settle on one. I recently finished reading one of Alan Watt's books called Tao: The Watercourse Way, which was published after Watts's death with a collaboration with Al Chung-liang Huang. Watts book is different in that it starts from a western perspective about the difficulties in understanding the Tao.
